美国公民教育及公民意识伴随美国的发展历程而演进。从第一批移民到达美国至今,美国人的公民意识从最初的追求自由到独立时的争取独立、平等、自由,到强调民主、爱国、美国化精神再到冷战后的重视国家责任、以"诚实、正直、忠诚、服从"等为核心价值观念的世界公民意识,至今天多元化时代的世界公民、全球开放意识,其演进与时俱进且富有时代特点。
Abstract：With the development of the process and evolving of American society,the American civil consciousness appeared.From the first wave of immigrants arrived in the United States since the American civil awareness from the initial pursuit of freedom to the independence struggle for independence,equality,freedom,to the emphasis on democracy,patriotism,the spirit of the United States and then to Post-Cold War emphasis on national responsibility to "honest,integrity,loyalty,obedience" as its core values of world civil consciousness,to today's diversity citizens of the world era,global open awareness going up,its development evolving with the times rich characteristics of the times.
