本文基于对青年和青年发展的最基本概念以及青年发展与社会发展之间的关系的清理,探讨了对于当今时代和社会背景下中国青年发展的分析框架,尤其是作为其核心成分的中国社会所处的复合性时空以及中国青年所呈现的世代分化。在最后部分探讨了尝试进行中国青年发展测量及其指标建构的主要理论和技术问题。
Abstract：Based on the classification of the bottom-most concept of youth and youth development and the relationship between the youth development and social development, the article discusses the analysis framework of youth development in China in the context of current ear and society,and especially its core components,i.e.the compound time and space,in which the Chinese society stays, and the generation differentiation presented by the youth in China.In the last part the author studies the main academic and methodological problems in an attempt to conduct the assessment of Chinese youth development and to set the target.

(1)意指社会为青年进入成人期在时间上提供的合法延缓,如许多大学生虽然已经成年,但还没有正式步入社会开始职业生涯,仍然在接受学校教育,而社会对这种延缓状况是持默许、理解甚至支持态度的。

(3)进入20世纪下半叶以后,世代理论(generation theory)成为社会科学中的一种重要理论视野。
(4)正向指标是指从与事物正常演进或发展的趋势或方向相一致的角度来衡量具体事物变化状况的指标。
(5)负向指标则是指从与事物正常的演进或发展的趋势或方向相反的角度来衡量具体事物变化状况的指标。换言之,负向指标是从相反的角度来说明具体事物应该具有的演进或发展的趋势。
